About Callie

Callie became an instructor because she wanted to help riders achieve true balance and harmony with their horses.   She found that many instructors told her what to do yet lacked the ability to teach how and why, so she made it her mission to help riders with the how and why of riding and training.  This way the student can become independent  true horsemen on their own.

Horse psychology and natural horsemanship are the foundation of her training, and then Callie became certified with Centered Riding® , a well-respected international instructor program.  A graduate of the Western Dressage Association of America’s Train the Trainer program, Callie teaches Western Dressage Lessons and Clinics on her ranch and around Nevada.

Currently, Callie is a Mastery Student with Straightness Training program in Lisbon, Portugal.  Through this program she is learning the Old Master’s style of training from the 17th and 18th Centuries — truly Classical Dressage.  Callie enjoys passing her knowledge to her students and empowering them to be the best riders and trainers they can be.  Callie also studies human behavior and learning styles so she can adapt her teaching style to make learning easier.
